IHG latest flash sale includes a 100% bonus on points purchase.  With IHG 100% bonus, this is the best price-point I have seen all year. The offer is available for purchases made until 11:59 PM ET September 20, 2018. Bonus promotion can work wonderfully well in conjunction with the current or next round of PointBreaks promotion.

IHG 100% Bonus

The bonus kicks in with a minimum purchase of 5000 points. Purchase of 100,000 points for $1,000 USD would yield a total of 200,000 points at 0.5 CPM – incredible value!

IHG 100% Bonus

Recently, IHG increased the purchase cap from 60K to a 100,000 points. Members may purchase a maximum of 100,000 points per calendar year and receive as a gift a maximum of 100,000 points per calendar year. Additionally, IHG Rewards Club Premier Credit Card offers fourth night free on award redemption, which enhances the points purchase value even further. Normally, points purchased appear in account within 24 hours, but can take unto 72 hours in some cases.

IHG POINTBREAKS

While purchasing points at 0.5 CPM is great by itself, leveraging the promotion with IHG PointBreaks properties is the best way forward. PointBreaks promotion allows members to book reward nights at select IHG locations for as little as 5000 points. IHG has improved this promotion, and now includes  properties that can be redeemed at 5K, 10K and 15K, and also allows Points+Cash booking!!

TAKE AWAY

While I don’t recommend buying points just to fatten your account balance, purchasing points to use at Pointbreaks properties or to top-up account balance towards a specific redemption, is a good way to go about it. Did you get the 100% bonus? Would you purchase points with 100% bonus this time around?
