Looking for a rewarding volunteer experience where you can connect with some 600,000+ travelers every year in need?

Have a passion for travel? Like me, do you actual enjoy being at the airport!?

Also like me, do you love the City of Chicago?

Travelers Aid Chicago is a program that provides resources and referrals, crisis intervention and protective travel services to passengers traveling through Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport (ORD).

Volunteers are needed to serve at the information desks throughout the terminals at ORD. Volunteers will assist travelers in navigating the airport, help with crisis situations, and share their knowledge and love for the city of Chicago with visitors.

According to Travelers Aid, some of the populations they serve:

  • Refugees, immigrants, repatriates, and international visitors
  • Passengers with special needs
  • Runaways returning home
  • Severely injured military passengers
  • Those fleeing humanitarian crises (e.g. natural disasters and violence)
  • Inexperienced/first time travelers
  • Victims of theft at O’Hare Airport
