Background:

The Oneworld Los Angeles Business Lounge is located airside in the Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT). After security, once you’re in the atrium with shops, you’ll find an escalator to the right which will take you to the fifth floor. Turn to the right at the top of the escalator where the PF Changs is located and and you’ll be directly at the lounge entrance.

Access:

The lounge is open from 6:30am to 11:30pm daily. I was granted access with my Business Class ticket to Hong Kong on Cathay Pacific, making this post a little over a year late. (sorry for the backlog!).

Business Class and First Class passengers traveling on an oneworld operated flight as well as Sapphire and Emerald elites can gain access to the lounge. Additionally, Emerald members, Sapphire members and first class passengers may invite one guest who is also traveling on a Oneworld airline to join them in the lounge. American Airlines Advantage members (regardless of status) traveling solely on North American flights within or between the US, Canada, Mexico (except Mexico City), the Bahamas, Bermuda and the Caribbean are not allowed access.

The Lounge:

Upon entering, there’s a large bar towards the right that had a pretty good selection of alcohol. Passing the bar, is a cool sitting area with a fire pit. Bathrooms and showers are just past the fire pit area. I entered the lounge around 9pm, and it was quite crowded. As it approached 10, the crowds started to lighten.

It wasn’t super hard finding a seat, but it was more of finding a seat where plates have been cleared/cleaned. Would hope the attendants could improve on the lounge upkeep.

Food:

There’s a large buffet in the middle of the lounge and plenty of seating choices around it. The food selection was good, and the main dinner offering included spiced pork, roasted cauliflower with onion, jasmine rice, butternut squash with quinoa, penne pasta with zuchinni and a soup of the day.

There was also salad, cheese plates, fruit and some cakes for dessert. There was even this cute taco cart that served made to order tacos!

The Verdict:

Overall, the Oneworld Los Angeles Business Class Lounge is a decent place to relax before a flight. It’s a giant lounge, with plenty of seating and a solid buffet. I would just hope the lounge improves a bit on cleanliness and upkeep.
