Another week has gone by and it is time for me to summarize this week’s posts for those who have missed out. Links are provided to each one for curiosity.

Despite a week of writer’s block for me, I managed to write and publish four posts. All four posts are different, giving this week the spice of variety. I had one informative post, one “best for” post about cash back cards, one classic card review, and one news piece.

How To Use Up American Express Membership Rewards Points

Monday’s post went over how to use up American Express Membership Rewards Points. The name of the game with Membership Rewards (MR) points is redeeming for travel. The other options will net you 1 cent per point (CPP) at most. Furthermore, many options will provide even less value. People taking the lesser options is another way that Amex makes money. Having these options available also shows that Amex is aware of how valuable their points are.

PYCR’s Favorite Cash Back Cards

On Wednesday, I highlighted some of my favorite cash back cards with an emphasis on travel. Review: Chase Aer Lingus Visa Signature Card

On Friday, I reviewed another Chase co-branded airline card. This time it was for Aer Lingus. Aer Lingus is a great airline that’s a sister airline to British Airways and Iberia. All three airlines earn Avios and this card earns them at an elevated 3x rate for Aer Lingus and sister airline purchases.

This card is a great option for Aer Lingus travelers and a great substitute for those who like one of its sister airlines. However, a Chase Ultimate Rewards (UR) earning card might be better for travelers who are not loyal to a particular airline or hotel.
