Another week has gone by and it is time for me to summarize this week’s posts for those who have missed out. Links are provided to each one for curiosity.

I’m happy to report that the week of August 18, 2019 was the best individual week for PYCR yet! I had a series of very popular posts including three news articles and two “perspectives posts”. The “perspectives posts” are a new post format that I’m exploring. Fortunately, they appear to be doing very well.

Wednesday, August 21 marked three years of the Chase Sapphire Reserve. In other words, it’s the third anniversary of Chase’s flagship card. This post outlines the history of the Sapphire Reserve and some of the changes that Chase made to it. Most of the changes were made to save Chase money.

 

The Amex Schwab Platinum Card Has a 100,000-Point Targeted Offer

Monday’s second post was about the American Express Schwab Platinum Card. This card has a special targeted offer worth 100,000 Membership Rewards points. However, the offer is only available to those with a Charles Schwab bank account and a targeted email from Amex. This post also presents an overview of the Charles Schwab “flavor” of the American Express Platinum Card.

 

Why World of Hyatt Is the New SPG

Tuesday’s post discussed why the World of Hyatt is the “new SPG”. Comparisons between both chains were made and there are many similarities between them. Perhaps World of Hyatt was an unexpected beneficiary of the SPG-Marriott merger.
