I tried to get in the LAX Alaska Lounge at 9:30 am on a Thursday and the sign was out saying it was full for Priority Pass Select holders. I have Priority Pass Select from my Hilton AMEX Aspire Card, so I get access to this lounge and get to bring 2 guests.
After constantly checking every 15 minutes or so, and munching on a burger from the Habit, I went back at 10:35 and the sign was gone! Woooo! A quick swipe of my card at the front desk and my parents and I were in!
Is the LAX Alaska Lounge Really Small?
The food selection screamed domestic lounge, and I guess I’m spoiled as my last flight gave me access to the new American Airlines Flagship Lounge at LAX.
I snatched a nice seat at the windows which had a great view of the runway! There were a lot of Virgin America planes which was a nice treat. I really will miss them!
When I left the lounge at 11:20 am, the “full house” sign was back. I’m super happy I got in! I really think Priority Pass needs to add another lounge, because the KAL lounge at Tom Bradley doesn’t open until 12PM (and it’s a decent walk from Terminal 6). And the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse is at Terminal 2, and you can’t get from T6 to T2 post security.
While I won’t make it a priority to visit this lounge on my LAX travels, it was nice to grab a quick bite! 🙂
Have you been to the LAX Alaska Lounge? What did you think?
