Good morning from the American Airlines DCA Admirals Club. It’s been a fun morning already. I was booked on the 11am nonstop to DFW, but that canceled sometime early today. As usual, the staff at this club takes care of business like no other. I was up packing for the trip early this morning when my phone rang with a familiar voice on the other end. The DCA club had some options for me including an earlier and a later flight. I’m only 15 minutes away from DCA, and was already most of the way through getting packed. No sweat, I could make the earlier flight, and lunch in DFW with a friend. I was here with plenty of time to visit the club, get some work done, and arrange to pick up the rental car earlier than planned. All things considered, this works out better than my original plan!
I’ll be spending the week in the DFW area, and the hotel of choice this week is the Embassy Suites DFW North in Grapevine. I’ll be sure to post a review of the hotel as I’ve not stayed at this property before.
When will DCA get a bathroom back? I flew through there last week and turned around at the door and had to go back down stairs when I saw the big sign that due to renovations there are no restrooms.
The ladies room was open today. Sign said mensroom would reopen soon, but I did not ask when. I think all construction isn’t due to be done until mid summer or later. Anxious to see how it turns out.
