Whether you’re looking for a hidden gem of a restaurant in Rome, searching for the best secret beach on the Pacific Coast Highway or simply looking for a cheap place to lay your head mid-journey in Central America, your best bet is to ask a local. So when the opportunity comes around to meet other like minded travelers to hear their tales, learn their tricks and ride the coattails of others so to speak, take advantage!

If you happen to live in Nashville or have looked for an excuse to visit Music City (I mean, who doesn’t?) you need to bookmark your calendar for Thursday, February 28 at The Embers Ski Lodge. This is the first meet-up of the newly created  Music City Miles and Points Facebook Group. Lee, aka Bald Thoughts on Boarding Area, an avid traveler and writer newly transplanted from California, brought his tradition of a social gathering of the traveling minds to Nash Vegas. Lee,  Jason-a local travel expert, and myself will organize events on a regular basis to get savvy travelers connected in and around the tri-star state. To regsister for this event to help plan the space needed, please register here.

Our event begins at 6:00 PM and is family friendly so feel free to bring the kids along if you wish. A series of small shops and restaurants line the pedestrian friendly street so whether you arrive early or stay late, there’s always plenty to do. So take the time to come out for a few and meet some fellow travelers and hackers and have some good food and drinks. Hope to see you there!
