On Tuesday, construction will commence at LAX on the $500 million Southwest Airlines terminal renovation, the Los Angeles Times reports.
One of the goals of the project? To reduce traffic congestion; the terminal (Terminal 1) last year handled more fliers than any other terminal at the airport, the Times says.
At next week’s ceremony, the Times says that airport officials are expected to give us a timeline as to how long the project will take to complete.
