Toulouse Airport in France is the home to both Airbus and the La Croix du Sud Lounge. This is the only lounge at Toulouse Airport, which means all airlines use it for their premium passengers.

Business class passengers can access the lounge for free and anyone can pay in for €25.00. Priority Pass, Loungebuddy, Loungekey, Lounge Pass and Dragonpass are all accepted here.

La Croix du Sud Lounge Toulouse

I visited here on a Sunday morning and was first in the lounge when it opened at 5:45am. This afforded an opportunity to get some pictures of the facilities without disturbing people. Downstairs is decked out in red, mauve and grey.

All the furnishings in the lounge are a little eclectic in their design and quite colourful. Downstairs is not particularly large and is rather dimly lit compared to upstairs.

Checking out the airport web site shows that La Croix du Sud recently underwent an expansion as part of the Toulouse Airport works. This makes upstairs fairly new.

Plenty of tables and chairs are provided for those who wish to eat. Lounge chairs and coffee tables are provided for those who wish to relax a little more, and there are two computers for those who may not have a device with them.

Food and Drink

To say I was underwhelmed by the food offering is an understatement. Basic is a word that springs to mind, and it really wasn’t particularly appealing.

Being France, Croissants and Pain au chocolat were also available for the hungry. No hot food was offered at all, and apart from the pastries, the offering was not suited for breakfast.

Food is spread out on the second floor in two large serving areas and both have precisely the same offering. Particularly unappealing was the fruit basket, where the fruit looked tired to say the least.

When it comes to the drinks, I found the red wine to be quite tasty and the coffee machine certainly does what it’s supposed to do. Otherwise, water, juice, soft drinks and beer is all offered in the fridge.

Everything was just okay, with nothing particular standing out as amazing. This lounge reminds me a lot of the hideous DAA Lounge at Dublin Airport for its aesthetic, though the Irish facility has better food.

Black Toilets

Toilets are located downstairs and they are quite fine. As it was early in the morning, they were clean and fresh with no grave surprises to report.

Dyson hand dryers are always nice to see, as they tend to be far faster than the usual style. I like that, as drying hands is a fairly boring process.

Overall Thoughts

Would I pay €25 to access this lounge? Probably not, no. It is a nicer place to wait than at the gate and there is free food and drink, it’s just there is nothing particularly amazing about it.

I didn’t particularly like the decor and the lounge really lacks natural light. The only windows upstairs look out over the terminal, but this is an improvement over downstairs which has no interior windows at all.
