I had the pleasure spending last night with a fun group of like-minded travelers. During the evening the topic of GoGo Inflight Wi-Fi came up. The end result – while the idea of disconnecting from it all sounds good in theory, reality is very different. It’s hard to imagine life without GoGo now.

While I’ve griped from time to time about slow speeds or spotty connections, overall, the service works fairly well. When you think about it, the idea of sending a Tweet while you’re rocketing along at 9 miles a minute is pretty darn cool. Frankly, if inflight internet went away, I’d miss it. Sometimes, there are only so many minutes in a day, and airplane time can now be productive time. And when I really want to disconnect, read a book, sleep, etc., I just do it. Long live GoGo and all other inflight internet providers!
