Amex Delta Cards Will Have Revamped Benefits and New Increased Offers – Miles to Memories

I’m mostly annoyed by these changes and see them as a negative. Sure, there are some perks being added, but fees going up $4/$55/$100 for the Gold/Platinum/Reserve Delta Amex cards hurts. HOW I’M PLOTTING MY POINTS STRATEGY IN THE ERA OF BANK DENIALS – Miles for Family

Things are getting tough with more and more banks cracking down on new applications. With Bank of America’s recent new rules (well, they’ve likely been in effect, we just didn’t know the policy), Chase’s 5/24, Barclays stinginess toward many folks, and American Express’ “abuse” popup box and once-per-lifetime rules, things are getting tough. Slower and steadier may be the way to go. As Leana notes, maximizing bonus categories and spending should definitely be a focus. It hurts, as sign-up bonuses were once essentially everything.
