Aer Lingus have a partnership with Irish supermarket chain SuperValu, where you can convert your Real Rewards points to Avios in AerClub. These transfer at one Avios per point, but now you can earn double Aer Lingus Avios all the time.

A new relationship has started between SuperValu’s Real Rewards programme and Visa. This means people with a Visa card can earn twice as many Real Rewards points and therefore twice as many Avios on shopping purchases.

Double Aer Lingus Avios

Those holding a Real Rewards card should go to this SuperValu web page here. It outlines the partnership and shows what you need to do to earn double points on all purchases.

What you need to do is to link your Visa card or cards to your Real Rewards account. You receive 250 Real Rewards points just for joining and then you will earn your usual shopping points at one point per Euro, plus one point per Euro extra for using a Visa card.

Is It Worth It?

In a word, yes! Those who do their shopping at SuperValu will receive twice as many points compared to before. There is literally no reason not to do this if you have a Visa card.

Obviously then you can either use the Real Rewards points for whatever you like, or, as I do, convert them to Avios in the Aer Lingus AerClub frequent flyer programme.

Overall Thoughts

Maximising your earnings through this offer makes complete sense. Earning double Aer Lingus Avios means you will be closer to a reward flight in a shorter period of time. It’s a total no brainer.

I’ve already linked both my credit and debit cards and look forward to receiving more points. What do you think of this offer? Is it something you’ll avail of? Thank you for reading and if you have any comments or questions, please leave them below.
