Cathay Pacific are now flying from Dublin to Hong Kong and you can get a discount on flights with them. This discount code for up to €240 off flights was issued to anyone who visited the airline’s stall at Taste of Dublin and entered a competition to win flights to Hong Kong.

People who didn’t win the competition received an e-mail with a discount code for flights. I thought it was worth sharing this, in case you want to use it to fly to Asia, Australia or New Zealand.

Cathay Pacific Discount Code

The discount code and all the details are on Cathay Pacific’s website here. You need to make your booking by 16 August 2018 and there are only certain destinations you can use it for.

Travel dates are 1 November 2018 to 5 December 2018, 24 December 2018 to 31 March 2019, and there are additional dates for Australia and New Zealand only of 21 August 2018 to 30 September 2018.

Where Can I Go and How Much?

Lots of places are available. Hong Kong (obviously), Australia (Adelaide, Brisbane, Cairns, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney), Japan (Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka, Sapporo, Okinawa), South Korea (Seoul, Busan), Thailand (Phuket) and Singapore. There are also cities in Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Vietnam, China and Taiwan on the list.

The full discount of €240 is on Premium Economy to New Zealand which is €2,069 instead of €2,309. Flights to Australia are €220 off in the same class. Cathay Pacific Premium Economy is great, you can see my review here. Economy flights are generally €60 to €100 off which is still a nice saving!

Overall Thoughts

Cathay Pacific are one of the world’s five star rated airlines. I really enjoy flying with them – Hong Kong is a great place to stop off and visit on the way to places such as Australia and New Zealand.

Having a discount on flights is never a bad thing, I certainly enjoy saving money! What’s the most you’ve ever saved on flights from a code like this? Thanks for reading and if you have any comments or questions, please leave them below.
