Airfare Deals

Finding a good airfare deal can be a tiring task. However, with a little bit of research and by using the right tools, one can find availability and travel on some really cheap fares. More often than not, Airlines put restrictions on booking discounted fares. This may include restrictions in terms of specific days of the week, cancellations or changes.

Once you find a low fare, the main idea here is to book the fare after checking out the restrictions and fees. The last thing you want after booking a low fare is to pay extra for add-ons or changes/cancellations. Google Flights also allows you the option to set flight alerts. It’s pretty simple. All you have to do is set the parameters and filters for your travel dates, and you’ll get an alert every time there’s any upward or downward movement in fares.

We see fares to India from major West Coast cities hovering around the $800 mark. During peak season, economy fares can even cross $1,200 round trip. At the moment, the cheapest fare from the US west coast to India is to New Delhi for the month of September. Round Trip fares under $650 also show up for travel to New Delhi during the month of October as well.

Round trip fares to Mumbai are hovering in the mid $700s for now. However, you can find fares under $750 RT to Mumbai even for the month of October and November.

If you have some flexibility to travel during the shoulder season, then this could be a great deal. Expect fares to increase and cross the $1,000 mark for peak travel season around Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s eve.
