As a resident of the State of Illinois and customer of Chase (banking and credit cards), I received the following message in reference to the aftermath of Sunday’s massive storm that included dozens of tornadoes (~80) which killed at least 6 people, flattened hundreds of homes in Illinois alone, and led to our Gov. to declare 15 counties as disaster areas.

As of this posting (November 22, 2013), Gov. Patrick Quinn has declared 15 Illinois counties as state disaster areas:

  1. Champaign
  2. Douglas
  3. Grundy
  4. Fayette
  5. Jasper
  6. LaSalle
  7. Massac
  8. Pope
  9. Tazewell
  10. Vermilion
  11. Wabash
  12. Washington
  13. Wayne
  14. Will
  15. Woodford

Clearly this is the right thing to do and I commend Chase for proactively sending out such a message.
