British Airways are starting non-stop flights between Dublin and Ibiza for the Summer 2017 timetable. These are the first services operated by the airline from Dublin to a destination other than London. This is great news for people wishing to head off to Ibiza for a break as the only other airlines serving the route are low-cost carriers.
British Airways Ibiza Schedule
Flights from Dublin to Ibiza will operate on Friday night, departing at 22:25 and arriving in Ibiza early Saturday morning at 02:20. People will be able to arrive and go straight to their hotel or straight out to enjoy Ibiza’s legendary nightlife.
Return flights from Ibiza to Dublin will operate on Sunday morning, departing at 09:00 and arriving in Dublin at 10:55. This means there is plenty of recovery time on Sunday for people who need to head back to work the following day.
Why Is This Happening Now?
The aircraft are operated by BA Cityflyer who operate services out of London City airport for British Airways. London City is closed for most of the weekend, so the airline is using the otherwise idle aircraft to open weekend routes.
Various routes have been announced departing from places such as Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester and London Stansted. It will be interesting to see how these routes do and if they will return again next summer.
Those planning a Mediterranean island break should book now. Prices are very competitive, with fares as low as €49 each way in Euro Traveller. Club Europe is also competitive at €125 each way. These are excellent prices for a three hour flight that clocks in at over 1,000 miles.
Business class passengers will find no lounge access available at Ibiza airport. Despite this, savvy travellers should book into seat 2C or 2D on board as there is a scandalous amount of leg room.
