Over the years, I have slowly learned the in’s and out’s of the travel industry from my day job as a marketing manager which requires me to travel frequently. With all of my day job travel, I’ve reached Delta Diamond Medallion, United Gold and Marriott Platinum Elite status. After several inquiries from my friends and family asking me for travel help. I decided I wanted to share my knowledge and techniques to more people. My intent is to share my knowledge and experiences to empower readers to explore the world as cheaply as possible. You don’t have to be wealthy to enjoy a lavish travel experience. With a strong passion of East and South East Asia culture and history, my voice will be in deals and unique experiences in that region.

Cathay Pacific Business Class Los Angeles to Hong Kong

I recently had the chance to fly Cathay Pacific Business Class from Los Angeles to Hong Kong.  I’ve heard nothing but great things about Cathay Pacific’s business product and I was eager to see for myself how it stacked against other airlines I’ve flown to Asia on. Consider subscribing for more flight reviews Cathay Pacific Business Class Business Class was in 1-2-1 seat configuration on the Boeing 777. This is my favorite seat configuration as it provides direct aisle access and privacy from your neighbor. Upon finding my seat, I started to explore the seat controls and the side compartments. The...

Eva Air A330 Business Seoul to Taipei (Hello Kitty Plane)

It’s been a few years since I last flown with Eva Air and it was on their 777 from LAX to Tapei. I recently booked a short 3-hour flight on Eva Air A330 Business Class from Seoul, South Korea to Taipei, Taiwan. For my full flight review, watch below. Seats and Controls Eva Air A330 Business Class is configured in a 2-2-2 seating. It is very similar to the Korean Air A330 configuration I flew last year. I typically don’t like a 2-2-2 configuration because it lacks privacy. The seats do provide a middle divider to block your neighbours head but it...

How Fake Food is Made in Japan

In Japan, sampuru (fake food) is widely seen outside restaurants. Sampuru started in the 1950s as a visual representation of a restaurant’s menu for foreigners who couldn’t read Japanese. Several decades later, the popularity of having fake foods displayed in front of restaurants picked up across all of Japan. Now, it’s hard not to see fake food in front of almost every restaurant in Japan. Curious about how fake food is made in Japan, I traveled to Osaka, Japan to take a private tour of one of the few Sampuru factories in Japan. Watch my video for the full tour.   Morino Sample The Morino Sample factory...
