Majored in Miles

As a "student" of miles and points for the past five years, Dakota has traveled the globe by utilizing credit cards and loyalty programs. His love for travel continually drives him to creatively find new methods of accumulating points for free travel and helping others do the same.

Latest App-o-Rama Results

Over the past month, my wife and I applied for a total of 7 cards, collectively. I applied for 3 cards, she applied for 4. For those of you that have never heard of an “app-o-rama,” the concept is pretty simple: apply for multiple cards within a few minutes to give yourself a better chance of being approved. When you apply for cards within seconds of one another, most of the time, the hard inquiries won’t hit your credit report before the next bank pulls it. Some say that this method of applying for cards is dead, but I’ve...

Flight Review: Frontier “Stretch” Economy

I sat in Row 3 – Seat F on both the outbound and inbound legs from DEN to DCA which were 3 hours and 3.5 hours, respectively. Stretch Seats have a pitch of 36″- 38″, depending on the row, while standard economy is 28″- 29″. It’s kind of funny to me that Frontier copied Delta Comfort+ by differentiating the “premium economy” seats from all other seats by adding some decorative stitching to the back. The amount of cushion in the Stretch seats were also a bit of a disappointment as well.
