Hooks have me hooked.

In its sleek modern bathrooms, the recently renovated Hyatt Chicago Magnificent Mile has solid, chrome hooks (see above photo) that make it easy for us to hang wrinkled clothing during showers. This is something I do frequently if my dress or a blazer got somehow crumpled during the journey.

Unfortunately, I find that bathroom hooks are relatively rare – although not as hard to find as high-quality hair dryers.

I might be going out on a limb, but I personally think women would appreciate hooks more than men – just like giant mirrors and curves on the edge of bathroom countertops so water doesn’t flow onto our clothing when we lean over to apply masacara.

Readers: Anything else that you wish hotels would consistently have in the bathroom? (On Twitter, @greg_otto yesterday said “my wife would make hotel bathrooms with no exhaust fan illegal if she could.”)
