Background:

I’ve always wanted to try Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace as it claims to be the “best in Vegas”. Having tried the Buffet at Wynn, Bellagio and Wicked Spoon at the Cosmopolitan, I needed to try Bacchanal!

After status matching my Hilton Diamond to Wyndham Diamond, which then gives Total Rewards Diamond, a perfect opportunity arose. I could use my $100 Celebration Dinner at Bacchanal!

Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace:

Weekend dinner is $64.99 at Bacchanal which is a pretty hefty price tag. In comparison, a personal favorite of mine, the Buffet at Bellagio is only $43.99 for weekend dinner.

There was a separate queue for Diamond members and it only took about 15 minutes from waiting in line, paying and then getting seated on Saturday around 6 PM.

Diamond Status:

With Diamond Status, you get a large plate of king crab legs delivered to the table! This was honestly my favorite dish from the entire buffet. It was delicious!

Other Dining Selections:

There was a lot of food selections, from a taco station to wonton soup/pho/ramen station. I didn’t really enjoy the ramen. Additionally, the tri-tip was really disappointing and the salmon also left a lot to be desired. Wicked Spoon at the Cosmopolitan definitely had better cooked food as well as the Buffet at Bellagio.

The stone crab was almost unedible tbh.

The strong point was only the snow crab legs and asian stations. The sushi was the best buffet sushi I had in Vegas, and the snow crab legs were on point.

The desserts were decent, but I was expecting to be wowed for $65. Again, Wicked Spoon has better desserts in my opinion. The macaroons were pretty good, but the cakes were too sweet. Additionally, the gelato was quite disappointing. I tried the chocolate gelato and it had a weird chemical taste. They also had mochi ice cream, but it was ehh as well.

Service:

One minor issue was the fact that the chefs at the stations were quite unfriendly. Thankfully, our waiter was amazing and provided great service.

The Verdict:

Sure, the Baachanal is a decent buffet but for the price tag I’d probably opt for a steakhouse or save some dough by eating at Bellagio or Cosmopolitan. Not sure I’d pay full price to eat here again, but maybe I’ll come back for a visit if I have another Diamond Celebration $100 credit.

Happy travels,
