Booking an award ticket using your frequent flyer points can be relatively difficult. Matching award seats with the dates you want to travel can be a challenge that usually requires some flexibility.
People in the British Airways Executive Club can rejoice as the airline has released a ton of award seats. These are in all classes, with some very interesting things to note.
Award Seats In All Classes
British Airways have a policy of releasing at least two seats in each class per flight. This means that people travelling as a family would miss out as there aren’t enough seats for more than Mum and Dad.
You can see from below, looking at London Heathrow to New York, that there are plenty of award seats in all classes. Where it does not indicate how many seats are available, it means there are more than nine. You could snag virtually entire First Class section if you wanted!
Just in case you’re wondering, a return flight from London to New York off peak in First Class is 136,000 Avios and €669.00 taxes and fees. A really decent deal for those with plenty of points to burn. Business class – Club World – comes to 100,000 Avios and €761.00.
The availability is for flights to and from North America in the Autumn of 2019 and Spring of 2020. You would want to get in quick to snag the flights and dates you want. This opportunity should not be missed!
I have never seen this many award seats available on British Airways flights in the past. This is your opportunity to go places as a group of friends or as a family on dates that suit you.
What do you think of all of these award seats being released? Will you be taking advantage of it? Thank you for reading and if you have any comments or questions, please leave them below.
