Air France will be serving Atlanta, Georgia with the Airbus A380 from March 2019. This will replace one of the existing two daily services operated with the Boeing 777.
Once the service starts, it will mean the French carrier will serve five destinations in the USA with the A380. In addition to Atlanta, New York JFK, Washington DC, San Francisco and Los Angeles also feature the aircraft.
Hello La Première!
First class at Air France is called La Première, which will now be available on the Paris to Atlanta route. There are nine of these suites available on board.
As one of the most chic first class cabin’s in the sky, La Première features great design, curtains to close off your suite for privacy, a soft mattress pad, plush bedding and an amazing lounge experience. You also get Krug Champagne and Caviar, so I’m sold!
The morning service from Paris Charles de Gaulle – AF682 – will continue to be a Boeing 777. It departs at 10:50 and arrives in Atlanta at 14:15. It then returns as AF681, departing at 17:15 and arriving back in Paris at 07:40 the next morning.
For those wanting to fly the Airbus A380, it is the afternoon service you want. AF688 departs Paris at 13:50 and arrives in Georgia at 17:15. Heading back to Europe, the flight departs at 20:15, arriving at 10:40 the following day.
Cashed up passengers will be delighted to have the option of flying La Première, while the airline will be happy with the extra capacity on the route. It is good to see the opening of another route for the aircraft.
