American’s Eagle regional arm is restarting service from Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport to New York’s LaGuardia. This reinstates a service once offered by AA, and will be operated by American’s Envoy Air affiliate using 76 seat Canadair regional jets with first class and coach service. Service begins January 6, 2015, according to this ajc.com article.

American once served the ATL-LGA market, and it’s good to see a little competition back on the route. American had been competitive with offering meals on certain large RJ routes. It remains to be seen if that will happen with this new service to remain competitive with Delta. A quick look at ExpertFlyer indicates that we may luck out in that regard.
That’s for the nonstop AA flights on January 16, 2015, and I picked the later flight from ATL to LGA. Looks like D for dinner to me, but if I hear differently, I’ll update the post.
