Members have two more days to avail the latest Marriott Bonvoy points sale promotion, a 30% discount when buying 2000 points or more. The sale is available until October 18, 2019. So, how good is this sale and should you purchase Marriott Bonvoy points?

Marriott Bonvoy points sale – Save 30%

Purchase Bonvoy points at 30% off

The 30% discount applies when purchasing 2000 points or more and translate to 0.875 cents per point. Members can buy or gift up to 50,000 points at a time which would cost $468.75. Marriott has increased the purchase limit to 100,000 points for the promotion period and points purchased previously count towards this limit.

Given that I redeem mostly at mid-tier Marriott properties, I value Marriott Bonvoy points at 0.7 cents a piece. So obviously I am not going out of my way to purchase points at 0.875 CPP. However, the price is decent if your account could use a quick top-up for an upcoming stay.  A quick reminder that Marriott Bonvoy allows points advance booking (up to 5) – earn or purchase the needed points at least 14 days prior to check-in. Bonvoy points also convert to several airline miles at 3:1 ratio, plus a 5k bonus on every 60,000 points converted, equaling 25K airline miles.
