A holiday cruise can be a nice, low-stress way to celebrate a major holiday. Thanksgiving aboard a cruise is a great way to spend time with family. And let’s face it, how many Thanksgiving dinners have you been to that come with bar service by the pool? My favorite season aboard a ship is Christmas. Staff go all-out to decorate the ship, and make things festive. The chefs also get creative with holiday creations of all sorts decorating the ship.
Yesterday’s “Exciting Deals” email from Celebrity led me to think about holiday cruises in years past. Fond memories. Two itineraries really caught my eye. They aren’t the longest cruises, but that might be desirable around the holidays as it is also nice to spend a little time at home then.

Something about spending Christmas Eve at Sloppy Joe’s, then a relaxing Christmas Day at sea appeals to me. The 7-night itinerary on Celebrity Reflection? That’s all about the ship for me. I’ve reviewed the amazing Celebrity Reflection before, and that is a ship I look forward to sailing aboard again. And don’t even get me started on the thought of Aqua Class cruising and Christmas dinner in Blu. Better yet, I hear Santa stops on ships too.

I hear ya’. I’ve been successful with Thanksgiving cruises, and even December cruises…but not one that had us on the ship on 12/25. That is a barrier I’m trying to break down. đŸ™‚
Nice choices. I don’t think my other family members will go for a cruise for Thanksgiving or Christmas (unless I paid of course) but it is tempting.
