OK, I don’t normally just toss up a post that says hey….look at this other blog. But this one is just too important to ignore. Take a look at Gary’s post on the program, which happens to link to a post by Lucky. Both are worth your time. I’ll have more to say after next week as I’ll be experiencing my first non-Starwood stay in Atlanta in a loooong time. My choice? A Marriott property, the Renaissance Atlanta Midtown. And I thought I should add, I’m not trying a new hotel because I don’t love my old standby, the W Atlanta Midtown anymore, it’s just time to try something else. Plus a little new review material for the blog wouldn’t hurt either. 🙂
Edited to add: Gary posted some further thoughts on Starwood that are just as important as the first post. Read both!
Go for the Buckhead one, since it is a great location (In my mind even better than the Marriott Buckhead), and its brand new. Though if you want to go back in time and are willing to drive a little, it is worth going to the Atlanta Perimeter Hotel and Suites, since it was the second W to ever open (they just rebranded it since it does not currently meet the W standards, but still a decent property)
W Buckhead it is!
Probably best to avoid the W Midtown right now, since they are having tons of legal issues stemming from the window incident, and more that has come out since then.
The W Buckhead has suddenly opened up. Decisions, decisions. 🙂
