Background:

Having a First Class or Business Class ticket on Railjet gets you into the OBB Lounges! There are currently 7 lounges: Vienna Central Station, Vienna Meidling, Linz, Salzburg, Graz, Klagenfurt and Innsbruck.

I visited the lounges in Innsbruck, Salzburg and Vienna Central Station. Here are short reviews of each of them!

OBB Lounge Innsbruck

While this was the smallest lounge of the ones I visited, it was the cleanest and emptiest. It was a really nice place to relax and it felt almost brand new! There was wifi (all the stations have wifi themselves), an espresso/coffee maker, and other refreshments in bottles. There were also some crackers and little snacks.

OBB Lounge Salzburg

Now, the OBB Lounge Salzburg did not feel new, in fact it felt a bit tired. It was also quite crowded when I went in. It was bigger than the Innsbruck one, and had a bathroom unlike in Innsbruck. The refreshments and snack selection was identical. Still a nice place to relax.

OBB Lounge Vienna Central Station (Hbf)

Wow! Was this lounge cool. It was on the second floor of the station and had a cool view from the glass windows. It was the biggest lounge of the 3 I visited and it had the same style as the Innsbruck one with new furniture. Same refreshments and snacks as the other lounges, and it too had its own bathroom.

The Verdict:

The OBB lounges are quite a nice way to relax before a train. I would say my favorite lounge was either Innsbruck or Vienna, and it’s a great perk of riding in 1st or Business.
