One way that luxury hotels seeking to appeal to environmentally aware guests are doing it is by providing soap, shampoo and other toiletries via pump dispensers. I’ve seen this in the past at the elegant-and-eclectic Greenwich Hotel in New York City.

Above, road warrior and reader John Ruda just sent me the photos of his toiletries at the luxurious Liberty in Boston, which is a hotel housed in a building that used to be a jail.  The hotel’s part of Starwood’s Luxury Collection.

Less-expensive hotel chains such as Starwood’s Aloft and Element and IHG’s EVEN have embraced pump dispensers.
