One of the best subjects for a dollop of aviation porn is Concorde. The aircraft looks amazing in flight and British Airways and Air France certainly knew this.

For those that don’t know, Concorde was a supersonic jet aircraft made by Britain and France that carried passengers at twice the speed of sound. Fast and expensive, you bet!

Concorde Video Porn

There is something undeniably chic about Concorde that comes across in all footage produced. It has graceful lines and a certain panache that can’t be beat.

I suggest you take 4 minutes and 40 seconds and immerse yourself in this gift. The person who put this together has picked some excellent ground to air and air to air shots and the music by Coldplay is a good choice. It is total aviation porn.

British Airways Concorde seems to feature most, but there are also some great Air France shots as well. Imagine flying on Concorde, it would have been a spectacular experience.

Only 20 Concorde’s were built and almost all of them are housed in museums around the world today. This means you can still visit this very distinctive aircraft in places as diverse as Scotland, Barbados and Seattle.

Everyone Loves Concorde

People around the world love Concorde. When the aircraft visited Sydney many years ago, I went to the airport with my Dad and about half the city to see it land. Very exciting to see it in person!

British Royalty was not immune to Concorde’s charms either. The Queen flew on the aircraft several times on official state visits and even waved it off when it was leaving Barbados in the picture below.

According to a Concorde pilot, the Queen Mother mentioned to him that she would always wave to the aircraft when it flew over where she lived. This started a tradition of the pilots flashing the landing lights as they passed by.

You might wish to check out “Concorde Stories: Remembering the ‘pocket rocket'” published by the BBC on 22 November 2017. It has some really good memories to read.

Overall Thoughts

Aviation porn doesn’t get much better than Concorde flying through the clouds. Having read books such as The Concorde Story by Christopher Orlebar, it is a little bit amazing that the aircraft made it into service at all.

Did you fly on Concorde or have any dealings with the aircraft? I’d love to hear about it! Thank you for reading and if you have any comments or questions, please leave them below.
