LAS VEGAS –  I’ve been taking taxi cabs from one end of the Vegas Strip to the other the last couple of days visiting hotels (SLS Las Vegas, Mandarin Oriental and now, Mandalay Bay) and during most of those rides, I simply endured the loud ads that play incessantly here and other cities.

They’re annoying, especially in a land that’s already over the top in terms of sensory overload.

But when a friend hopped in with me we wanted to talk, we asked the driver to turn it down.

The driver told us to look for the volume button on the top right corner of the screen.

Doh!

Yes, it’s that simple but apparently not enough people do it or KNOW about it. Our taxi driver literally thanked us.
