Premise:

Just this past weekend I visited Vegas to celebrate my 21st, and was very happy to have gained Caesars Diamond status through some status matching! The whole process only took less than a week, and I completed it earlier this month.

In short I used:
Hilton Diamond to Wyndham Diamond to Caesars Total Rewards Diamond

Wyndham is providing status matches for three months, and so I matched my Hilton Diamond Status that I acquired from my Hilton Aspire Card. After the match, you have to stay 14 qualifying nights in 90 days to keep Diamond and you can maintain that match through the end of the following calendar year.

I don’t really plan to complete the 14 night challenge with Wyndham as I don’t really enjoy their properties but more so I wanted to do it to have Caesars Total Rewards Diamond during my visit to Vegas!

Step 1: Hilton Diamond to Wyndham Diamond

I submitted a status match request by sending in proof of my Hilton Diamond Status, and in about two days my Wyndham account was updated to Wyndham Diamond!

To get Wyndham Rewards Diamond status you can request a match from:

  • Marriott Rewards:
    • Gold and above
  • Hilton Honors
    • Gold and Diamond
  • World of Hyatt
    • Globalist
  • IHG Rewards Club
    • Platinum and Spire
  • Choice Privileges
    • Diamond
  • Best Western
    • Diamond Select
  • ….and other’s too! (if I missed any).

Step 2: Wyndham Diamond to Total Rewards Diamond

Then through this page, I linked my Wyndham and Total Rewards account and voila pretty much the next day I saw that I was now Caesars Total Rewards Diamond!

There are a many benefits to Total Rewards Diamond, but the big ones that I want to highlight are below.

The Main Caesars Total Rewards Diamond Benefits:

  • 15% off best available advertised rate on rooms and suites.
  • No resort fees on any hotel stay.
  • Guaranteed Room with 72 hours notice in Atlantic City and Las Vegas.
  • Complimentary valet & self-parking!
  • Priority lines at hotel check-in, restaurants, casino cages and the Total Rewards Center.
  • $100 Celebration Dinner (once per year) (which I used this trip!)
  • Free Show Benefit (two tickets a month!) (which I will highlight below)
  • Complimentary stay at Atlantis, Paradise Island in The Bahamas.

Total Rewards is becoming Caesars Rewards in February, and with Diamond you get the same benefits as before, but also 2 nights at the Caesars Resort in Dubai!

Since Caesars uses February-February as their “program year” I hope I can get another $100 Celebration Dinner for after February as right now it says my Diamond Status expires “January 31st, 2019”. Hopefully I can rematch my three month Wyndham Diamond status to Caesars in February as I have Wyndham Diamond until April!

$100 Celebration Dinner:

The celebration dinner is earned once a year, and I used my $100 credit at the Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace! Here’s a list of the eligible restaurants.

Free Show Benefit:

As a Diamond member, you get 2 free show tickets a month! I didn’t have time this trip, but I will definitely try to make time to see Penn and Teller on my next one. Here’s the list of shows that are included for this month.

The Verdict:

If you’re going to travel to Vegas soon, it can’t hurt to gain a $100 dining credit and a free show to watch even if you aren’t staying at a Caesars property! It’s a very generous status match offer! Hopefully it works for me again in February!

Cheers,
