Last week, I blogged about a rumor that American would be starting nonstop service between DCA and Atlanta. That rumor was later confirmed, and a quick check of ExpertFlyer this morning shows that the schedules have indeed been loaded and the airline will start 5X daily service January 5.
The schedules look good for business day trips in either direction. While American’s schedule does not match Delta’s hourly service, this will prove attractive to the many AAdvantage loyalists in Atlanta, and save a connection in Charlotte.
